Mobile Commercial Plumbing Technician - South Yorkshire - Competitive Salary Based on Experience

CBW Staffing Solutions is actively seeking a mobile commercial plumbing technician to perform both scheduled and urgent maintenance across various commercial contracts in the South Yorkshire region. This role is with a reputable facilities management and building services company that provides a comprehensive range of maintenance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing infrastructures.
  • Execute installation, upkeep, and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and appliances in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
  • Utilize various joining techniques to cut, thread, and connect pipes, ensuring watertight seals and proper alignment.
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and faucets, ensuring they function correctly and align with plumbing systems.
  • Manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of drainage systems, including sewers and sump pumps, diagnosing and resolving issues like clogs and leaks.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of water supply systems, ensuring consistent water pressure and quality.
  • Employ leak detection methods to identify and address leaks in plumbing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Handle both planned maintenance projects and reactive service requests.
  • Demonstrate basic skills in various associated building trades.
  • Prepare on-site reports and conduct risk assessments.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations.
  • Participate in the on-call duty roster.
Person Specification:
  • Qualified Plumber (Certification required).
  • JIB PMES CSCS Card.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Efficiently manage high workloads and prioritize tasks.
  • Possess a practical, can-do attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Strong work ethic and energetic approach.
  • Flexibility and commitment to the role.
