Field Service Maintenance Technician – Facilities Management Provider – Commercial Properties

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Facilities Management and demonstrate a successful history in the maintenance of commercial properties. Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00
Key Responsibilities
  • Lighting maintenance (including small installations, troubleshooting, and lamp replacement)
  • Conducting emergency lighting inspections
  • Managing control panels
  • Replacing ballasts
  • Monitoring BMS systems (temperature control)
  • Executing all aspects of mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Maintaining and updating maintenance logs
  • Plumbing tasks (e.g., unblocking toilets)
  • Working with pumps and motors
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining logbooks
  • Utilizing CAFM systems (such as eLogs and Webquote)
  • Completing assigned tasks efficiently and professionally.
  • Proactively identifying and reporting faults in building services equipment and taking corrective actions.
  • Ensuring all health and safety concerns are reported and escalated as necessary.
  • Maintaining open communication with client staff regarding service levels and issues.
  • Reporting service-related issues to management for formal communication.
  • Remaining adaptable in terms of site attendance and tasks within personal expertise.
  • Staying informed about relevant health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • Assisting specialist subcontractors as needed.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial property maintenance
  • Multi-skilled with strong communication abilities
  • Client-facing experience
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Prior experience in a Building Services Engineer role
  • Ability to work independently with high-quality standards
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering
