About the Role

Beeby Anderson Recruitment is seeking an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their busy team in Bristol. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing mechanical engineering systems at the highest level using the latest software design packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing mechanical engineering systems for a wide range of projects, including education, science, and research, healthcare, leisure, residential, commercial, defence, and high-end mixed-use developments.
  • Leading the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with junior support staff to develop their skills and providing guidance on technical delivery.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitors, and identifying new ways of working and innovation opportunities.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree or equivalent in building services engineering.
  • Experience in using recognised design software tools such as REVIT and MagiCAD.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to external parties, clients, and team members.
  • Ability to manage project needs and deliver full project delivery.
  • Recognised qualifications in Mechanical services design and a commitment to Chartered Status.
  • Experience of people management and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Future flexibility for regular cooperation, travel, and inter-office working.
