About the Role

XO is seeking a highly skilled Stores Operative to join our team. As a Stores Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory, ensuring accurate and timely recording of stock and tooling.
  • Identify and dispose of surplus and obsolete stock, adhering to regulatory and environmental health and safety requirements.
  • Participate in perpetual stock checking and support rolling stock takes on a daily and annual basis.
  • Ensure timely and efficient resolution of queries and communication with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Manage repairs to plant and tools, including arranging repair, re-certification, testing, and calibration as required.
  • Administer COSHH data and maintain accurate records of products, including disposal of waste in accordance with regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, adhering to safe and compliant working practices.
  • Administer stores-related management information and respond to allocated NCRs.

Requirements

  • Holds or has held a Stores Inspection Stamp.
  • Previous stores experience in an aviation environment.
  • Working knowledge of Part 145 requirements in relation to aircraft stores.
  • Forklift License.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Knowledge of human factors, human performance, and limitations, including own limitations.
  • Ability to control and be familiar with required tooling and equipment.
  • Good standard of communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Experience/knowledge of logistics processes.
  • Good awareness of health & safety and personal responsibilities therein in an MRO environment.
  • Knowledge of occurrence reporting systems and understanding of the importance of reporting occurrences.
