Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Automation Technician to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and daily troubleshooting of remotely operated switchgear and related systems, including all communication technologies that support electrical distribution up to 11kV.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission automation systems.
- Monitor and oversee contractors throughout the operational region.
- Perform fault diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance on automation-related issues using various manufacturer equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
To be eligible for this position, candidates should possess:
- A high level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills to manage personal work schedules effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, with the capability to update and maintain documentation.
- SAP authorization or a commitment to achieve it.
- A willingness to learn and grow within the role, with existing knowledge of current automation systems.
- A valid UK driver's license is essential.
