About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Aftersales Applications Engineer to join our team at NOV Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical professional to work with our clients and provide expert solutions to their process equipment needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technical solutions to support our clients' process equipment requirements, including sizing and specifying equipment such as Static Mixers, Agitators, and High Shear Mixers.
  • Create and manage proposal and enquiry documents, detail design, and specify equipment for quotation, purchase, and manufacture.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers to request quotations and evaluate sub-vendor proposals.
  • Conduct single and inter-discipline checks and reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Present technical solutions to clients and industry professionals, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer care.
  • Participate in client meetings, HAZOPs, bid clarification meetings, and technical discussions to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and adhere to department and company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Support other departments and undertake other duties as required by the line manager.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, including ATEX legislation for hazardous areas and the PED for pressure vessels.
  • Prepare monthly review of statistics for the Sales Director as agreed.
  • Perform laboratory tests to improve mixing knowledge and solve customer problems.

Requirements

  • Tertiary education in an Engineering discipline (desirable) – Preferably in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in a similar position (essential) and experience in the Chemical Industry (desirable).
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook (essential).
  • Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (essential).
  • Knowledge of industry standards (essential).
