We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at Home Care Direct. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and mobility support.
- Assist clients with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with their mobility needs, including transfers and mobility aids.
- Assist clients with their medication management, including administration and monitoring.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care or support role, preferably in a home care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
- Knowledge of care and support principles, including person-centered care and the importance of promoting independence.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
