We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at The London School Alliance. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism and other physical disabilities in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with Autism and other physical disabilities, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalized learning plans and strategies to promote academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Utilize communication methods such as PECS, Phonics, and Makaton to enhance students' understanding and expression.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their independence and self-esteem.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in SEN settings, particularly with students with Autism and other physical disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of communication methods such as PECS, Phonics, and Makaton.
  • Ability to monitor and record students' progress.
