Retail Security Officer

Kingdom Services Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Retail Security Officer to join our team. As a key partner to Morrisons Supermarkets, we require a professional who can maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols inside and outside the retail store to monitor and secure premises.
- Theft Prevention & Apprehension: Act as a visual deterrent to shoplifters and other criminal activity, identify and prevent theft through proactive observation and surveillance techniques, and apprehend shoplifters or trespassers.
- Customer and Staff Safety: Ensure the safety and security of customers, staff, and assets, respond to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, and provide first aid or other support when required.
- Access Control: Control access points, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas, check for any unauthorized activities, and respond accordingly.
- Incident Reporting: Report and document incidents of theft, property damage, or other security breaches, collaborate with local law enforcement agencies during investigations, and complete daily security logs.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly in the event of emergencies such as fires, evacuations, or medical situations, coordinate with emergency services if required, and assist in managing crowd control during evacuations.
- Customer Service: Provide a visible security presence while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor, assist customers with queries or concerns when needed, and direct customers to the appropriate staff or service areas when necessary.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional in approach, with a balanced sense of judgment, and a keen eye for detail.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
- A valid SIA Licence or have applied for one.
- A full five-year checkable employment history.
