Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient care in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) guidelines and professional standards.

  • Implement skilled nursing interventions based on the agreed care plan and continuously evaluate and update it to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments in compliance with professional, legal, and local policies.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery and contribute to research and practice development initiatives.
Team Collaboration:
  • Promote effective teamwork and communication within the department.
  • Encourage collaboration with external agencies to support seamless care for patients.
Supervision and Staff Development:
  • Supervise and support junior staff in their roles, ensuring their ongoing development and competence.
  • Assist in identifying staff training needs and support their professional growth through formal and informal teaching opportunities.
Person Specification:
  • Registered Mental Health Nursing Certificate (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD).
  • Strong skills in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
