This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity, enabling the company's use of data as a strategic and operational enabler of corporate goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Data Models: Strategically design, develop, and implement data models for enterprise-level applications and systems, architected at the conceptual, logical, business area, and application layers.
  • Advocate Data Modelling Methodologies: Act as the primary advocate of data modelling methodologies and data processing and integration best practices.
  • Develop Testing Criteria: Develop and implement key components to create testing criteria to guarantee the fidelity and performance of data architecture.
  • Document Data Architecture: Document the data architecture and environment to maintain a current and accurate view of all data held by the organisation.
  • Conduct Data Capacity Planning: Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee Data Mapping and Integration: Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, integrations, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring trust in data.
Requirements
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience implementing data architecture and structures from gathering business requirements to technical implementation.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with on-prem and cloud database platforms, including SQL, Oracle and Azure/AWS.
  • Web Services Knowledge: Understanding of Web services (SOAP, XML, UDDI, WSDL).
  • Modern Data Structures: Hands-on experience implementing modern data structures/databases e.g. key-value stores.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working technical knowledge of applications and platforms, including Azure, AWS, SAP & Salesforce.
  • Relational Data Structures: Good understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices.
