About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Solicitor to join our Reading-based Real Estate team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice to clients on a range of commercial property matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting and/or taking full responsibility for deals by drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, leases, licences, transfers, deeds, etc.
  • Undertaking due diligence tasks by reviewing and reporting on title, raising enquiries, reviewing searches
  • Dealing with secured lending and corporate support transactions and working closely with our Banking, Corporate and Insolvency Teams
  • Liaising with clients and lawyers on the other side of transactions
  • Obtaining quotes for indemnity policies, liaising with insurance brokers and underwriters as appropriate
  • Undertaking legal research
  • Attending client or all parties' meetings
  • Participating in business development events
Requirements

We are looking for a solicitor with a strong background in commercial property law, who has experience in dealing with a range of property-related matters. You will have excellent technical competence, a commercial approach, and excellent communication skills. You will be confident and personable, with the ability to explain complex matters to clients without a legal background.
