Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable HR Consultant to become part of our client, a thriving and dynamic small to medium-sized enterprise.

This is a full-time, permanent role requiring 40 hours of work each week.

Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Company Background: Our client is a privately held, well-established commercial entity operating in a fast-paced sector. This newly established position will report directly to the HR Manager and will be part of a compact HR team.

Role Purpose: The HR Consultant role has been designed to support the ongoing growth and development of the company, with assistance from an HR Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to employees on various HR-related matters.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of HR policies.
  • Engage in performance management activities.
  • Coordinate and take part in employee performance evaluations, including documentation support.
  • Maintain employee records in a digital format using the HR management system.
  • Generate reports on HR metrics.
  • Support the updating and maintenance of company policies and compliance standards.
  • Conduct right to work and background checks.
  • Manage maternity, paternity, and parental leave processes.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the HR platform, including the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and promote continuous improvement in HR practices.
  • Assist in training and development initiatives.
  • Possess a minimum of CIPD Level 5 and at least 2-3 years of experience in an HR capacity.
  • Have a solid understanding of general HR policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and coaching abilities.
