Brite Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Financial Operations Manager to enhance our team within the professional services sector. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial operations of the group and serve as the UK's authority on technical accounting and taxation, ensuring that all financial reporting is executed by your team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Financial Operations Manager, your main duties will include:

  • Preparing and submitting financial statements in accordance with applicable standards and tax regulations.
  • Ensuring that your team delivers all necessary reporting, including annual returns, gender pay gap reports, payment practice disclosures, ONS submissions, and compliance with international filing requirements.
  • Driving efficiency and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Leading the implementation of the business support framework across the UK.
  • Acting as the primary liaison for global compliance initiatives, including transfer pricing, Pillar 2, and updates to International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
  • Proactively managing all interactions with auditors, tax compliance teams, HMRC, and banking institutions.
  • Providing training and guidance to ensure adherence to relevant Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and regulations.
  • Overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the group.
  • Collaborating closely with the CFO, FD, and cluster Financial Controllers on UK mergers and acquisitions activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To qualify for the Senior Financial Operations Manager position, candidates must possess:

  • Full ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification with extensive experience in a senior finance role within a corporate head office environment.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, particularly in managing hybrid teams.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Robust technical accounting knowledge and tax expertise.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning capabilities.
  • A strong aptitude for problem-solving, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members while fostering collaboration.
