Job Description

Witan Search is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Operations Manager to join our client's team in the UK. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 7 production operatives and ensuring the smooth operation of the Wire Rope, Petroleum Jelly, and Rust Prevention plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of plant operations, including manufacturing, filling, and bulk loading schedules.
  • Ensure that all operational activities are managed to cost, quality, time, safety, and integrity standards.
  • Implement and maintain compliance with Local, Country, Business, Global, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA), and HSSE legislation, policy, and standards.
  • Conduct routine checks of the cooling tower to ensure compliance with Legionella inspection regulations.
  • Support the embedding of Right First Time (RFT) behaviors into production and contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) activities to achieve best LEAN manufacturing practice.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience in production operations in the lubricant/chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of six sigma and SAP would be advantageous.
