Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts and Credit Control Assistant to join our finance team at Echo House Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our finance department, working closely with our Accounts Manager, Assistant Accountant, and Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Management: Issuing and posting invoices to clients' ledgers, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Credit Control: Managing and updating credit limits for clients on our accounting software, Sage Line 50.
- Statement Issuance: Issuing statements to clients, maintaining accurate records, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Client Communication: Corresponding with clients to chase overdue balances, answer queries, and provide excellent customer service.
- Financial Reporting: Supporting the Accounts Manager and Finance Director in producing ad hoc reports and financial information.
- Client Onboarding: Managing client onboarding processes, including credit checks and Sage ledger setup.
- Audit and Compliance: Auditing draft invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- File Maintenance: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files.
Requirements:
- Excellent Time Management: Prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, MS Office, and Sage Line 50 accounting software.
- Education and Qualifications: AAT qualifications or similar, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
