Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Team Manager Security to join our team at the University of Leicester Recruitment Team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and support the Team Manager in the delivery of security services, ensuring that all security systems are maintained to high standards.
  • Monitor and report on faults to the security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
  • Provide leadership and management to a team of security staff, allocating responsibilities and monitoring performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators.
  • Coach and develop staff to achieve agreed objectives, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Organise security initiatives and events to provide security and safety information and advice to staff and students.
Requirements
  • Positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide leadership and management to a team of security staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and report on faults to the security systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a high level of service to students, staff, and visitors.
