Job Opportunity at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced therapeutic radiographer to join our radiotherapy team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of radiotherapy treatment, calculating and recording treatments accurately, and ensuring the well-being and care of patients during their radiotherapy.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking radiotherapy department, providing high-quality care to patients with cancer. You will be working as part of a large and friendly team of over 80 radiographers and advanced practitioners, delivering treatment to over 3500 cancer patients each year.

As a therapeutic radiographer, you will be responsible for managing the radiotherapy patient workload, leading a team of radiographers, and ensuring the smooth operation of our treatment units. You will also be involved in the development and implementation of new radiotherapy techniques and technologies.

Requirements
  • Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of College of Radiographers
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • Experience of a wide variety of radiotherapy techniques and equipment
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • Ability to lead a team and work as a team member
  • Ability to work under own initiative
