Job Title: Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join our team at The Wakefield Welding Centre Ltd. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of welding plant and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, MMA, and Plasma Machines.
  • Conduct fault finding and problem-solving activities to identify and resolve issues with welding equipment.
  • Assemble and commission new and used welding plant, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Work with our team to ensure customer needs are met, providing excellent customer service and support.
Requirements:
  • A full driving license is essential for this role.
  • Preferably, you will hold an Electrical Qualification, such as City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ Level 2.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are essential for this role.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities are necessary to work collaboratively with our team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
