Cyber-Physical Systems Research Engineer
Position: Cyber-Physical Systems Research Engineer
Location: Cambridge
Compensation: Competitive + Comprehensive Benefits
Employment Type: Permanent
TTP is at the forefront of research and development, providing advanced services that enhance the capabilities of the United Kingdom and its allies in safeguarding their interests, particularly in the realm of Cyber Security. This field is essential for the operational success of both enterprises and governmental bodies, as well as for the safety of individuals.
Cyber security demands inventive strategies that take into account not only the strength of software but also the hardware, technological frameworks, and user engagement involved.
With a profound comprehension of the interplay between software, hardware, and related infrastructures, TTP can identify system weaknesses that may be exploited to manipulate behavior, extract sensitive data, or introduce harmful software, even when the software itself is secure. Conducting Cyber Vulnerability Assessments and crafting secure devices and protocols ultimately leads to integrated solutions that encompass entire systems.
TTP has a wealth of experience in creating such solutions in collaboration with prominent industry and national defense partners, evaluating critical systems for potential vulnerabilities, and contributing a unique blend of cyber defense methodologies that integrate both software and hardware solutions, often leveraging TTP's physics-based expertise to surpass conventional IT-centric approaches to cyber security.
Key Qualifications
Are you naturally inquisitive about the mechanisms of the world? Do you find excitement in solving complex challenges? Do you enjoy disassembling and reassembling devices to understand their functions?
This role primarily emphasizes research into vulnerabilities across a diverse array of systems, software, and hardware. It may also involve design and problem-solving tasks, necessitating a robust understanding of Electronics Hardware, software architecture, sensors, and their practical applications. A strong interest and experience in Cyber Security are crucial for success in this position.
Ideally, candidates will possess a Post-Graduate Degree or PhD along with several years of experience in a relevant discipline, which may include Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
Why Choose TTP?
TTP is not your typical research and development consultancy. As part of an employee-owned organization, you will work in our well-equipped offices and laboratories located near Cambridge. From day one, you will be encouraged to share and implement your ideas, fostering a culture of innovation without the constraints of traditional corporate hierarchies.
Our flat organizational structure promotes collaboration, teamwork, and creativity, providing unique opportunities for skill development in project leadership and client management to support your professional growth.
As TTP continues its rapid expansion, this is an excellent opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to our successful track record and advance your career at the cutting edge of technology, supported by a team of experts. Our organization thrives on curiosity, bringing individuals together to tackle challenging problems.
Employee Benefits
Joining TTP means you will enjoy a range of exceptional employee benefits, including:
- Complimentary lunch, snacks, and refreshments
- Employer pension contribution of 12% (of pensionable salary + 3% personal contribution)
- Private medical insurance for you and your family, along with life insurance
- 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays
- A comprehensive relocation package, if applicable
- Electric vehicle leasing and Cycle to Work scheme
- Access to social and sports clubs, including an on-site gym
- Discounts and memberships for local sports facilities and cultural events
