We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Dartmoor, a category C adult male prison. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for leading a team of plumbers and other tradespeople to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the prison's facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of plumbers and other tradespeople to maintain and repair the prison's facilities
- Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems
- Supervise staff and ensure they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification - Desirable
- Relevant professional qualifications (facilities management/project management) - Desirable
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
