An exciting chance to join our Legal Team as a Commercial Legal Counsel, working closely with both the Legal and Credit Control teams to provide proactive legal support, advice, and assistance.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Credit Control team to manage breach of contract debt claims and work with the legal team on non-debt related litigation.
- Issue claims, handle defences, and oversee resulting litigation and enforcement.
We are seeking a qualified solicitor with experience in commercial litigation, able to manage debt recovery cases and possess a strong understanding of legal procedures related to debt recovery.
The ideal candidate will be able to draft a range of legal documents, including letters before claim, defences, witness statements, winding up petitions, and other related court or insolvency documents.
- Making and responding to offers and negotiating settlement of both liability and quantum as and when necessary, subject to supervision.
- Strong analytical skills to assess financial situations of debtors and recommend appropriate recovery strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to adapt your style to achieve commercial aims.
