About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Sleep Team as an Assistant Sleep Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in sleep medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the sleep team, including Sleep Consultants, Consultant Technologists, Senior Technologists, and Sleep Technicians.
  • Interact with patients and healthcare professionals in a professional capacity, responding to questions and queries about Home Sleep Study (HSS) equipment and services.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge, skills, and competencies as an Assistant Sleep Technician within a specific clinical setting.
  • Participate in the downloading, checking, and maintenance of HSS equipment, as well as the cleaning and sterilization of EEG electrodes and PSG/MSLT equipment.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth operation of overnight and daytime tests, including patient observations, wire-ups, and bio-calibrations.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining accurate records and documentation, including patient details and equipment usage.
Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs grades A-C, including Maths, English, and Science (or equivalent)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to further learning and personal development
  • At least 12 months of experience within a healthcare environment
  • Flexible approach to meet the needs of the service
  • Ability to work early or late shifts and travel across site if required
