Position Overview

Stealth iT Consulting is seeking a Lead IT Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team, supporting a high-profile client.

Role Overview:

This position encompasses a variety of IT functions, including but not limited to server management, data storage, database administration, cybersecurity tools, and audiovisual systems. The primary focus will be on data storage and database engineering, with a strong emphasis on proficiency with Dell technologies.

Mandatory Requirements:

Candidates must possess SC Clearance and have the capability to achieve DV Clearance.

Compensation:

Competitive salary of up to £55,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incidents through to resolution
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure systems meet performance and availability standards
  • Conduct storage monitoring activities
  • Implement upgrades for hardware, firmware, and software under Change control protocols
  • Install and configure hardware, including racking and cabling
  • Patch network connections as required

Working Environment:

  • Shift-based work schedule, consisting of 2 x 12.5-hour day shifts, 2 x 12.5-hour night shifts, followed by 6 rest days
  • Collaborative team environment with specialists in Networking, Infrastructure, and Storage/Database/Security Tooling
  • Part of a larger team structure with multiple shift teams

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Storage Engineer with in-depth knowledge of Dell EMC solutions
  • Hands-on expertise in various IT domains, including server management, networking, security tools, and audiovisual technology
  • ITIL 4 certification, with a track record of implementing system changes through Change control
  • Strong willingness and capability to acquire new IT skills
  • Effective stakeholder management abilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with a strong troubleshooting aptitude
