Quantitative Developer Job Description

Vertus Partners, a Global Quantitative Trading Firm, is seeking a skilled Quantitative Developer to join their Research-Aligned Quantitative Analytics team. As a Quantitative Developer, you will work closely with cross-asset researchers to build solutions used directly in profit and loss (PnL) generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and implementing new datasets for the trading desk
  • Taking requirements directly from cross-asset researchers
  • Programming in core Python, utilizing data libraries like Pandas and NumPy
  • Working with third-party data providers
  • Optimizing data processes to minimize time to production
Requirements:
  • STEM degree, ideally in mathematics
  • Buy-side background
  • Experience working as a data engineer/quant developer in a trading environment
  • Exceptional strong Python coding skills

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience working with data in a buy-side environment, who has a keen interest in financial markets and trading, and would like to increase their exposure to researchers.
