Job Title: Collection Officer

Job Type: Full-time or part-time, fixed-permanent

Hours: Rota-based / 37 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, mixture of early and late shifts between 7am and 9.30pm

Salary: £26,412 - £28,770 per year (enhanced rate for weekend hours)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Collection Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing traffic and parking regulations, issuing Penalty Charge Notices and permits.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Issuing Penalty Charge Notices and permits
  2. Providing excellent customer service to residents in the borough
  3. Writing reports and maintaining accurate records
  4. Patrolling roads and parking spaces within the borough, on foot in all weather conditions
  5. Reporting any issues while patrolling, such as rough sleepers, anti-social behaviour, fly tipping, etc.

Requirements:

  1. Full UK driving licence
  2. Knowledge of relevant legislations, policies, and procedures
  3. Ability to deal with abusive behaviour in a calm and professional manner
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent English)
  5. Previous experience in a similar role
