We are seeking a highly skilled Electronic / Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Haas F1. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for supporting the electrical and electronics integration of new car projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop robust, lightweight, composite material and metallic mounting systems and enclosures for electronic and electrical installations.
- Work closely with electronics design engineers and mechanical design engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with the FE department to achieve quality, compliance, strength, and weight targets for all components.
- Provide mechanical design support for pit lane and off-car assets, including pit stop system electrical and electronic elements and on-car test and setup rigs.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering in a design capacity.
- Previous experience of component design using metallic and composite materials.
- Experience of working in an electrical and/or electronics environment, especially in a motorsport discipline.
- Strong technical background in racing car electrical and electronic systems from a mechanical perspective.
- Quick decision-making skills and a can-do positive approach.
