Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking an empathetic and dedicated Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant to join our team at The Avalon Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist to support individuals with acquired brain injuries in their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Support functional skill-building by facilitating activities in self-care, meal preparation, shopping, community trips, and other practical skills in one-to-one and group sessions.
- Contribute to the assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of structured sessions to measure progression and effectiveness.
- Run simple exercise classes and enable service users to complete their personal exercise programmes under the guidance of the Physiotherapist.
- Participate in sessions with the Physiotherapist to facilitate physical rehabilitation of standing, gait/mobility, and balance.
