About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Group. As a key member of our commercial delivery team, you will play a crucial role in the successful management of our residential development schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Commercial Manager in the cost management of development and contracting projects from procurement to completion.
  • Collaborate with the Surveying department to ensure accurate cost management and reporting.
  • Provide forecast and site budget information to meet business reporting requirements.
  • Control and report on post-contract cost movements.
  • Process invoices and applications for payments in accordance with Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract.
  • Manage site project administration using COINS software.
  • Settle variation invoices and applications for payment.
  • Assist with the certifying of retention releases on completion of projects.
  • Prepare and agree sub-contract final accounts.
  • Maintain necessary systems for efficient filing and retrieval of information.
Requirements
  • HNC in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Experience working within the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Excellent IT, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical ability.
  • Ability to assess and analyze information.
  • Good understanding of budget management.
  • Negotiating and networking skills.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, including standard forms.
  • Able to work within a busy team and under pressure.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Accurate with an eye for detail.
Desirable Qualifications
  • HND or Degree in Construction.
  • Housebuilding experience.
  • Different methods of construction, such as Timber Frame or Traditional Masonry.
  • COINS software experience.
