  • Document site activities accurately, noting any discrepancies or challenges, and provide updates to management.
  • Assist in coordinating project design and distributing relevant documentation for site activities.
  • Assume specific site responsibilities as defined at the project level, including managing permits to work.
  • Be prepared to take on site coordination and subcontract management roles based on your expertise and as determined by the project management team.
  • Facilitate communication among various site disciplines and subcontract managers to ensure seamless coordination of work.
  • Support the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of formal Quality Assurance/Quality Control documentation on site, including Inspection Test Plans and Check Sheets.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating regular mandatory and regulatory inspections as directed, covering areas such as Safety, Health, Environment, and Equipment regulations.
  • Help develop, monitor, and report on 5-6 week look-ahead schedules, incorporating input from the supply chain and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare or approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements for works directly resourced as required.
  • Plan and procure necessary materials and equipment for site operations, ensuring efficient usage and timely feedback on any issues.
  • Manage direct reports, evaluating their performance and supporting their professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions and requirements for all engineering, measurement, and subcontract works.
  • Encourage continuous improvement in all activities and share best practices within the project and the broader industry.
  • Organize and participate in weekly coordination, progress, and resource meetings as needed.
  • Monitor and enhance Safety, Health, and Environmental performance, ensuring adherence to all regulations.
  • Play a pivotal role in managing and communicating changes to project control.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • Experience in civil or mechanical construction.
  • Degree or HNC level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience in Design Management.
  • Possession of a relevant CSCS Card.
  • Valid Driving License.
  • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and document control systems.
