Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Leicester, Coventry, and Northampton area. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on servicing and repair of water treatment equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned and unplanned service to ensure customer sites are visited and serviced in line with their service level agreement.
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including chemical sanitisation, to maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Minimise customer downtime by effectively planning and executing work.
  • Deliver and install new equipment, and test and commission all work prior to leaving the work-site.
  • Explain and demonstrate how to correctly use the equipment if necessary, and ensure customer sign-off of work prior to leaving site.
  • Promote service contracts and report back new opportunities to line manager.
  • Maintain spare parts stock and keep up-to-date records.
  • Maintain all tools, and actively participate in equipment servicing.

Requirements

  • Relevant equipment service experience, possibly in an electro-mechanical environment, ideally in the water treatment sector.
  • Ability to work alone on customer sites.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work at weekends if required for out of-hours emergency work (rota system).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Able to cover around the Leicester, Coventry, and Northampton area.
