Transport Planner

Europa Worldwide Group is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our transportation team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of our trucks and trailers, ensuring timely delivery of goods to various destinations.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and manage the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery and minimal km's between deliveries and collections.
- Manage all associated facets of international transport, including export declarations, import clearances, and transit documents.
- Book onto the most efficient ferry routes and manage transit to ensure shipments are delivered on time.
- Create operational plans that are achievable, present the lowest possible empty kms, and deliver the highest level of Gross Profit.
- Present drivers with accurate and detailed plans that are achievable.
- Follow up with drivers to ensure they are on time and all shipment milestones are completed.
- Manage daily collection capacity and work with the Forwarding Manager to buy/sell loads as needed.
- Follow up on drivers' performance and report any issues to the line manager.
- Ensure all plans are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
- Previous experience in transport planning within the freight/logistics industry.
- Excellent knowledge of UK geography for effective route planning and logistics management.
- Adaptability and ability to think on their feet to resolve issues effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in using various IT tools and software to enhance productivity and streamline processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
