Mayer Brown Ltd is seeking a talented Highway Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering highway improvement schemes from feasibility to construction.

About the Role

As a Highway Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the preparation of solutions and proposals for highway improvement schemes
  • Consulting with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements
  • Designing and detailing highway improvement schemes using AutoCAD and other software
  • Managing your time to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BTEC Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in UK development-related infrastructure engineering
  • A knowledge of UK highway design standards (DMRB, Manual for Streets etc)
  • Experience of AutoCAD is essential; experience of other industry-standard software advantageous (e.g. Microdrainage, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, Signplot)
  • A full UK driving license
