About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals affected by cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans, promoting optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer and manage anti-cancer therapies, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines to ensure patient safety.
  • Support patients and their families through the cancer journey, providing education, guidance, and emotional support as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in cancer care.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RGN) qualification and current NMC registration.
  • Experience working in a cancer care setting or chemotherapy ward/department, or in an acute hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
