About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Gynaecologist to join our team as a Locum Consultant. The successful candidate will work alongside our team of consultant nurses and general gynaecologists to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our Gynaecological Cancer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently in outpatient clinics and theatre
  • Manage patients with suspected gynaecological cancer through triage, Rapid Access Clinics, diagnostics, and surgical, inpatient, and outpatient management
  • Participate in the development of the service and contribute to the transformation journey
  • Provide general gynaecology services, including out-patient clinics and elective gynaecological surgery
  • Support the running of the weekly Unit MDT and contribute to the development of tumour-specific pathways for endometrial, ovarian, cervical, vulval, and vaginal cancers

Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration and license to practice
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
  • MRCOG or equivalent CCT or equivalent
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of AAC)
