Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Buyer to join our Buying and Merchandising team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and buying a commercial range of products that maximise sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Senior Buyers to develop and buy a commercial range of products
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Mint Velvet customer and brand handwriting, as well as competitor activity on the high street
  • Take ownership of your area and demonstrate influence on the range build
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the Buying and Merchandising teams and Suppliers
  • Manage the critical path and ensure smooth running of fit sessions
  • Prepare and present weekly department performance and delivery schedule meetings
  • Attend Supplier meetings and ensure documentation and follow-through
  • Analyse Trade reports and discuss key points and actions with Buyers
  • Select trims for Buyer's approval
  • Prepare for Shoots and style product to get the best shot of the range

  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
