Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the success of our construction projects, working closely with our Senior QS and other stakeholders to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preconstruction Surveying: Conduct thorough site surveys to identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with our project managers to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are accurately estimated and controlled.
  • Measurement and Quoting: Conduct site measurements and prepare quotes for sub-contractor work packages, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Negotiation and Networking: Develop and maintain strong relationships with sub-contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, negotiating contracts and resolving disputes as needed.
  • Tender Pack Preparation: Prepare and issue tender packs for sub-contractor work packages, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractor relationships, including negotiation of contracts, payment terms, and final accounts.
  • Cost Reporting: Prepare and submit regular cost reports to our project managers, ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded and reported.
