We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our Bar and Food operation in a city centre location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the facility, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the facility is ready for use in accordance with planned opening times and activities.
- Provide visible leadership to facility staff, ensuring they are motivated and operate to high service standards.
- Allocate, monitor, and supervise the work standards of all staff, including kitchen staff.
- Contribute to managing the performance and ongoing development of staff.
- Identify, discuss, and meet the training and development requirements of your job role.
- Ensure compliance with all organisational policies and procedures.
- Review suppliers and prices to ensure value for money, monitoring premises costs against budget.
- Review activity sales performance regularly with the Operations Manager and Directors.
- Control and manage enquiries, complaints, and general public relations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the Bar and Food industry.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
