Commercial Manager

Thorn Baker Group is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Controller to join their team. As a key member of the commercial and finance department, you will be responsible for managing contracts end to end and ensuring the commercial control of rental department contracts.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and issue regular account development reviews to clients, project reports, and payment certificates.
- Update the project management system with revenue and costs to manage the project outturn.
- Applications for payment with necessary client approval, including sub-contract.
- Final accounts reconciliation, to be settled within two months of completion of the project.
- Liaising with managers and clients to review progress of project, resolve problems, and attend site visits.
- Manage financial aspects and outturn of projects, plus minus 60 projects.
- Manage application and certification process of projects.
- Authorisation of purchase orders (receipting) and subcontractor works orders for payment.
- Manage variation process with contractors, clients, or customers.
- Manage cash collection process.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at a given time.
- Ability to understand drawings and building design.
- Commercial contract review.
- Financial project management.
- PC literate: Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook - Intermediate/Advanced.
- GCSE: Maths Level 4/C or above & English Level 4 (C) or above.
- Commercial experience + industry knowledge and/or QS experience.
