Role Overview:
In this position, you will be part of a collaborative Framework Joint Venture, contributing to a significant portion of the capital investment programme in the water sector. You will be responsible for overseeing the project plan, ensuring timely delivery, and addressing any delays or deviations effectively.
Your role will involve leading and mentoring a small team of junior planners, establishing yourself as a knowledgeable and approachable expert in planning, dedicated to sharing insights and fostering team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans in alignment with Alliance requirements, ensuring adherence to established methodologies.
- Ensure comprehensive project scope and resource allocation in all planning activities.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities within the project plan, monitoring critical paths and advising the delivery team on necessary adjustments.
- Create 4D animations of project plans to facilitate digital rehearsals of construction processes.
- Design and implement effective communication strategies to ensure clarity and alignment among relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Uphold planning standards and ensure compliance with published processes across the Alliance.
- Prioritize Health & Safety standards in all planning activities.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in civil engineering or construction projects, particularly within the water industry.
- Proficiency in P6 and collaborative planning processes, with the ability to interpret drawings for efficient planning.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Adaptability to meet project objectives, with a focus on innovation and team support.
