About the Role

The Built Environment Programmes are looking for a Senior Lecturer who will take on the role of Programme Leader for the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying & Construction programme. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the core quantity surveying role, including measurement of building works, cost estimating and tendering, procurement and professional quantity surveying practices and contract and law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and assess students on the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying & Construction programme
  • Develop and deliver high-quality academic programmes in quantity surveying and construction
  • Conduct research and publish in reputable academic journals
  • Contribute to the development of the Built Environment Programmes
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a context appropriate to the Built Environment (or soon to be completed PhD, or equivalent qualification, or equivalent practice-based experience) and be able to undertake independent research. Experience in the role of link tutorship in a trans-national education programme will be an added advantage.
