About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Gardener to join our team at Private Estate - Bicester. As a key member of our small team, you will be responsible for the management of our organic vegetable and soft fruit gardens, as well as our ornamental borders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain our organic vegetable and soft fruit gardens, ensuring high-quality produce and efficient use of resources.
  • Oversee the maintenance of our ornamental borders, including pruning, planting, and pest management.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement projects across the wider estate, including the 18-acre wildflower meadow and mature orchard.
  • Ensure the effective use of organic principles and consider the impact on wildlife while working.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in organic vegetable growing and ornamental border management.
  • Good knowledge of machinery and tool maintenance.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
  • Interest in ecology, wildlife, and nature.
What We Offer

On completion of a three-month probationary period, we offer a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary and accommodation if required. The working week is 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
