About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Underwriter to join our team at Markel International Services Ltd in London. As a Cyber Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of Cyber risks, working closely with our dedicated Cyber Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Cyber risks according to Markel's underwriting principles and in line with authority limits.
  • Manage your own renewal book of business in line with appetite and strategy, including combined ratio targets.
  • Understand and promote collaborative interaction with claims and other internal functions to develop policy wordings and coverage.
  • Analyse and interpret data to enhance Markel's underwriting capabilities.
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing brokers.
  • Conduct competitor analysis as well as keeping abreast of Cyber product development.
  • Generate new business opportunities with brokers, and utilise internal pipeline's, as well as working with other Markel Underwriting Team's in order to compliment your efforts.

Requirements:

  • Experience of Cyber Underwriting.
  • Understanding of underwriting principles and risk acceptance in Cyber.
  • Wording comprehension.
  • Analysis of Underwriting data.
  • Cross-sales experience.
  • Strong relationship management.
  • Self management.
  • Self development.
