Job Summary:

The Gregory Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Night Trunk Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods from our Shepton Mallet location to pallet network hubs in the West Midlands and reloading back to Shepton Mallet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trunking from Shepton Mallet to pallet network hubs in the West Midlands and reloading back to Shepton Mallet.
  • Covering internal trunking as required.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring load security.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks on company-provided phones.
  • Working closely with network hubs to ensure efficient transportation.
  • Communicating regularly with the transport team to update on progress and manage customer expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current Digital Tachograph Driver Card and DCPC Card.
  • Experience with curtain-side trailers is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and meet targets.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player with good geographical knowledge.
  • Fitness, flexibility, hard work, and self-motivation are essential for this role.
