About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to lead our efforts in achieving Net Zero carbon emissions and promoting sustainability within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability and net zero carbon management strategy for Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Manage the interface with procurement to ensure the acquisition of energy and utilities, as well as carbon credits, aligns with our sustainability goals.
  • Provide regular reports to the Trust Board on sustainability-related matters, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Develop business cases to justify investments in net zero carbon initiatives and present them to relevant Trust committees for approval.
  • Project manage these initiatives to successful conclusion, including benefits realization.
  • Lead the development and delivery of a program of energy decarbonization and sustainability measures to achieve financial and carbon reduction targets.
  • Ensure sustainability is fully integrated into the Trust's Estates, Medical Equipment, ICT, and Procurement strategies, as well as infrastructure upgrades.
