Job Overview

Position: Pest Control Biologist

Talent Finder is seeking a motivated and capable Trainee Pest Control Biologist to join our dedicated team of Pest Control Specialists and Biologists. This role involves working in various environments to ensure effective pest management solutions.

Compensation: The successful candidate will receive a starting salary of £23,100.

Working Hours:

  • Standard working hours are from 08:30 to 17:00, including a 45-minute lunch break. However, flexibility is required as pest control needs may arise outside of these hours, occasionally necessitating overtime.
  • We offer statutory holidays along with 20 days of annual leave, increasing to 25 days with tenure.

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree in Biological Science is preferred. Comprehensive training will be provided to enhance your skills and qualifications, with salary increments corresponding to each certification achieved. The salary for a Certificated Field Biologist is currently £31,000, with progression typically taking between 2 to 3 years, or as little as 18 months for exceptional candidates.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with clients and team members at all levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • A clean and valid UK driving license is necessary, along with the ability to relocate if required.
  • This position involves managing industrial clients to maintain pest-free environments while providing advice on environmental enhancements. The role is field-based, offering a dynamic work experience.
  • Adaptability is key, as client needs may evolve. Opportunities for business development will be available, with commission-based incentives.
