We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our IT Systems Integration team. This role will expand our well-established team of DBAs/Engineers and Analysts. You will work with talented individuals who are keen to advance with the latest technology. This position requires great attention to detail and an analytical mindset. It offers a chance for someone looking to enter the data world or to expand their analytical knowledge with a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance and security.
  2. Collaborate with IT Development teams and Production DBAs on troubleshooting Production systems.
  3. Work closely with the Infrastructure & Architecture team as a SQL Developer.
  4. Own database performance enhancement projects for the group.
  5. Understand the in-house application architecture.
  6. Liaise with third parties to solve problems with bespoke systems.
  7. Enforce group security controls and best practices.
  8. Document and implement all database configuration changes.
  9. Assist DBAs with database-related issues.
  10. Develop data collection processes.
Skills Required:
  1. Excellent knowledge of database administration and SQL Development best practices.
  2. Minimum 5 years experience in database administration.
  3. Excellent working knowledge of the full Microsoft SQL Server stack (SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS).
  4. Experience with database clustering.
  5. Exposure to automation deployment tools such as Azure DevOps, OctopusDeploy.
  6. Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-on, HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery) environment.
