Company Overview: Right Now Recruitment is actively seeking motivated individuals for the role of Warehouse Operative, specifically for Cargo X-Ray Screening positions within a prominent global logistics firm.

Role Summary: As a Warehouse Operative, your primary responsibility will be to conduct x-ray screening of parcels intended for export. While training will be provided, we prefer candidates with prior experience in warehouse operations or x-ray screening, whether in passenger, hold baggage, or cargo environments.

Requirements:

  • Safety Boots / Steel Toe Capped Boots (to be provided by the candidate)
  • Completion of a 5-year background check (conducted by us)
  • Valid DBS certificate (issued within the last 10 weeks, we can assist with this)
  • Cargo Operative Training - CO (we will facilitate this)
  • NXCT Screening Course and Training (we will facilitate this)
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English

Important Notes: Please be aware that this position does not offer an immediate start, as we will need to finalize your 5-year referencing. The costs associated with your DBS and CO training will be deducted from your initial two weeks' pay.

Shift Details: Monday to Friday (Part-Time)

  • Monday: 19:00 - 23:00
  • Tuesday: 19:00 - 23:00
  • Wednesday: 19:00 - 23:00
  • Thursday: 19:00 - 23:00
  • Friday: 19:15 - 23:15

Compensation and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate within a dynamic warehouse setting

  • Conduct x-ray screening of cargo, identifying any potential explosive threats
  • Stay updated with screening training requirements

This role involves repetitive manual lifting, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.
