Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civils Operative to join our team at Stonbury in Great Yarmouth.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering works on our Water Utility and Environmental Agency contracts to a high standard and in a timely manner. This will involve:

  • Assisting with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing of building materials and plant
  • Storing, handling, using and disposing of materials in the correct manner
  • Performing physical tasks such as basic timber shuttering, drainage and kerb laying, material mixing and application
  • Operating heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working on-site in a labourer capacity
  • Self-motivation and ability to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work at heights safely, following relevant training
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept personal responsibility
  • Ability to lift, carry and push equipment
  • Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to Health & Safety and reporting relevant matters
