About the Role

We are seeking experienced Caretakers to join our Estates Services team within Neighbourhoods. As a Caretaker, you will provide a visible presence and trusted service to ensure the delivery of a flexible, responsive, high-quality service on our housing estates and street properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor contractors working on-site and carry out quality control checks
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness to internal and external areas within the boundaries of an estate
  • Report repairs and issues relating to anti-social behaviour
  • Work with residents, tenant and resident associations or other resident-led groups

Requirements

  • Experience in identifying and reporting communal repairs and undertaking project work such as painting and minor repairs
  • Ability to work at any Camden site as required and attend emergencies during normal working hours
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of estate cleanliness, including safe working practices such as health & safety and COSHH regulations
